Day 1: Barriers to Access

Day 1 opened with a keynote by Melissa Hugh, who called out racism as a public health crisis. Discussions focused on systemic barriers to care, cultural bias in healthcare, and the urgent need for accountability and equity-driven solutions.

Day 2: Policy

Day 2 centered on community healing and grassroots wellness. Attendees shared lived experiences and explored alternative models of care, emphasizing inclusive healthcare, cultural humility, and collective advocacy.

Our intention is to use this toolkit as a starting point for conversations with others, fostering the spread of this vital work.
